Good morning/afternoon LRS! I am your newly appointed squadron commander. I am very proud and humbled to have the opportunity to be your commander as we continue to give the best logistical service to the fighter wing day in and day out. I wanted to take the time to go over some items of interest to ensure we are all on the same page as a squadron. Here is what we are going to cover today:

Not only with logistically supporting the day to day flying mission but also supporting other groups and squadrons base wide. In order to effectively get combat aircraft airborne we have to ensure that other units on base are not neglected. For example, we can’t have air to air combat capability without effective communications. We also cannot secure aircraft without an effective Security Forces Squadron that relies on us for vehicle maintenance support. We are the key, backbone of everyone’s operation on this base. Without logistics nothing will move. We have a lot of commanders and Airmen as a whole from all specialties depending on use to execute our mission 24/7. That way we supply them with the “right stuff at the right time”. With that said this leads to the next point. Slide …show more content…
Attaining our competencies within our jobs is crucial to getting aircraft the support that they need. Being well trained in our jobs is essential to not only our mission set in-garrison but also abroad in other contingencies and exercises.  Mission Tailored

DIALOGUE: As stated above, training has to be tailored to the mission. Proficiency is key to avoiding mistakes. With that said we will continue to aggressively attack our upgrade training through a robust tracking program. We will also have a robust rotation plan within your flights to ensure that you are getting the OJT (on-job training) needed to ensure proficiency in your specialties.

 Timelines

DIALOGUE: Timing is everything, especially when it comes to aircraft generation. We cannot afford to miss timelines in anything that we are trying to accomplish. It is our job as Airmen to know the standards and surpass them as swiftly and safely as possible.

 Why is it important?

DIALOGUE: As stated, it comes back to core values. Excellence in all we do. Find out what the standard or metric is and surpass it. In all we put iron in the air to deter Americas and its allies enemies in preservation of freedom…we can’t let them down. We have a huge responsibility to our people and others. Slide
