Another organizational objective of the institution is an effective supervisory structure. In a correctional facility, the best asset is without any doubt its personnel. Therefore, the importance of a close supervision of the staff who have a high personal contact with the inmates cannot be overemphasized. The guards who have direct interaction with the inmates automatically have the bigger role of ensuring the safety of other inmates and the overall correctional facility in general. • Better coordination because the guards have a higher figure of authority to report the ongoing details of the inmates’ welfare to. • For Education and Training, there are educational programs.
