In response to the article “Class Times Too Early for Teens”, I do agree that school starts too early. Although, I don’t think it would be feasible to start after 8:30 a.m. I have been a working mother in the past and know all too well how expensive after school care can be for children. If school started later, and the parent has to be at work by 8:00 a.m., then you now have to provide before school care as well. I also agree that starting later would domino into school letting out later and then extra-curricular activities would also roll into later evening hours. My son plays soccer and I coach his team. We arrive home from school around 4 p.m., he has a snack, and then he does his homework before soccer practice. If school started later,
