The Aztec Empire consisted of various styles and fashions which exemplified their diverse culture. Each piece of clothing portrayed something about each separate individual. The clothing was used to distinguish social class amongst the other’s in their community. The Aztec clothing usually consisted of several key factors. The garments were typically loose fitting only covering portions of the body. They were also made of primarily cotton or ayate fibers. The ayate fibers came from a Maguey Cactus which was in abundance around the lands of Mexico which made it easy to find. With these fibers and cloths the Aztec people, primarily women, and their strong trading network, the Aztecs were able to create these garments
