The design we chose for our CO2 Dragster was the model “Car 1”. We chose this car for multiple reasons, one being that on the decision matrix, out of all five of the other cars chosen to move forward it was the highest scouring design. The criteria for the matrix included shape, weight, drag, acceleration and lift. The reason why it scored so high on the shape category is because it had a sleek modern looking design that was visually appealing to both of us. The “Car 1” model also scored high on the category of weight because most of the original block will be shaved off to accommodate for the sleek shape. The sleek shape of the car also makes it more aerodynamic and causes it to have much less drag than other dragster designs, like the wedge,
