Colin Powell’s choices directly affected the outcome of his life because if you look at him now he is a four star general and secretary of state. Colin Powell is best known for being a four star general in the U.S army and for serving as nations secretary of state.
When Colin Powell joined the ROTC unit. He also graduated from the corps as a cadet colonel, which is the highest rank. Then after college, he joined the united states army as a second lieutenant. When he served in the two tours of duty, he earned the Purple Heart because he had been wounded in service, he also received the Bronze Star for acts of heroism in a combat zone and the Solider’s Medal for the helicopter
