As my father’s dream of being the girls’ varsity head coach grew, my dream of playing on my own team grew as well. When I was in third grade Dad and I started an AAU team, which is a team that travels to different places on the weekends to play in tournaments. My team became so close. The feeling of my first game playing school ball was incredible. I felt right at place, like I have been playing school basketball forever.
