Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the life of Ferrucio Lamborghini and how he contributed his passion to make his car well known all around the world.
Thesis statement: In order to understand how Ferrucio Lamborghini contributed to make his car a super star, it is significant to know what triggered his idea to build a factory producing super cars, and what did he do to make his merchandise succeed all around the world.
Introduction
I. Attention Getter: During WWII, he was stationed on the isolated island of Rhodes as a vehicle maintenance supervisor for the Italian Royal Air Force. Needless to say being stuck on an island in the middle of a war makes it pretty tricky to secure spare parts, forcing Lamborghini to cobble together scraps to keep his machines running. He quickly earned the reputation of being a master mechanic, and an even more prolific tinkerer. Kind of like that time Tony Stark built a nuclear reactor in a cave. But real. Credibility Statement: After hearing the story of how Ferrucio Lamborghini was laughed by Enzo Ferrari, the founder of Ferrari, I became curious about how he could make his car so famous all around the world as a tractor merchant and I would like to share some of the interesting information I found. I will talk about the story in a later moment.
III. Relating to the Audience: As a college student living in twenty-first centuries, we see cars everywhere and everyday. It is fun to know something more about the super cars and the ones who created them.
