Erin Millar, the author of the article suggests that universities need to do more to prepare students for life after graduation. They need to help students “understand how their education, regardless of their chosen field of study, can be applied to life after school” (Millar, p. 4). Students are coming out of university feeling unprepared and wondering what to do with their lives as seen in the quote by Clair Parker, a Carleton University graduate, “When I came out of university, I wondered, ‘Why did I just do that?’” and “I just hope I come out actually employable,” she ended up going back to school in order to upgrade her education. This occurrence is all too common with just about everyone going to a post secondary institution these days
