As the author began to compare the now recognized issues and those addressed by the community of Tuskegee. It appears the program may address significant portions of the issues recognized by our leaders today. While, the Senior Citizen Center may be effective in servicing some of the needs of the community. It was found their approach to outreach services wasn’t as widely known and effective as it could be. In an attempt to generate business, the center appears to be using referrals from agencies or organizations as a source of outreach to the community. From a personal perspective, having worked at the local Department of Human Resources as a Financial Support Worker in the heart of the city. The author had no notion there was a facility within city limits that offered services such as these. Many client’s 60 years of age and older, were allotted only a small portion of SNAP benefits monthly. So, it would be a great idea for the Senior Center to do monthly forums to inform the people of resources available within the community. Or setting up a booth within agencies that generate a lot of business on a day to day basis like water company, utility board, and local Department of Human Resources. That way the Senior Center has a greater chance to reach a broader audience. Many of the individuals
