College and Professional Basketball: Similarities and Differences

Do you know the similarities and differences of college and professional basketball? Surprisingly, a lot of people actually don’t know them. There are as many similarities as there are differences about this topic. Both college and professional basketball is a very hard challenge to accomplish. College and professional basketball have many things in common. Both of them play in gyms or stadiums. All of the teams in both of them have team mascots. Before every season they bring up new players. Every player in both college and pro wear jerseys. Lastly both teams wear their team shoes on game day.

On the other hand they have many differences between each other. In college there are divisions that divide teams up, in professional basketball it’s divided by east and west depending on where the team is from. Players get paid at the professional level, when they are in college they just play for fun and try to do good so they can make it into the professional league. In college they have recruiting sessions to get new players, in professional basketball they have drafts. In the pros they have bigger gyms, in college it is much smaller gyms. there are smaller crowds in college, but in the pros there are really big crowds. …show more content…
