Some similarities are how both of the children do not understand their parents and how their parents don’t understand their children. The main question seems to be like, “What do my parents want of me? They seem to be not satisfied with anything I do.” In “Catch the Moon,” the father, Jorge Cintron, doesn’t understand why his son had to create that gang. His son had been in so much trouble. He had just gotten out of juvenile prison for breaking into an old lady’s house, courtesy of his gang. “....calling it disgusting and vulgar….” (Cofer 64).
