The Hunger Games vs Divergent
What's the secret to reaching someone with words? This is a question many writers ask themselves when writing. The answer may vary on who you ask. If you were to ask Veronica Roths or Susan Collins they might give you two different opinions. They might tell you that you need to base your writing on emotions or on memories because that is what reaches readers the most, because that is exactly what both of their novels do. Here let me give show you how very similar they are to each other.

A dystopian society is a society in which people live is an imaginary or futuristic place where people lead dehumanized and often fearful lives. Both societies rise from the ruins of North America. Divergent is set specifically in the city once known as Chicago while the Hunger Games is set throughout North America. Katniss in the Hunger Games and Tris in Divergent are two brave, rebellious sixteen-year olds, who endure an oppressive government along with routine teenage difficulties.
