Have you ever wondered why Chavez and Gandhi fought for human rights? Chavez fasted for 25 days straight. Gandhi fought for an entire country for independence against Great Britain. They were both able to do this because they had confidence in their goals and would do anything to achieve it. Both of them had their differences and their comparisons. Cesar Chavez was a great human rights fighter. Chavez did many things to become a freedom fighter. Once he fasted for 25 days straight just to prove a point. Gandhi and Cesar had many things in common and they also had many differences. They were both human rights fighters that would do anything for human rights or independence. Gandhi was born India, while Cesar Chavez was born in Yuma, Arizona. Gandhi actually inspired Cesar Chavez. Because of Gandhi Cesar Chavez became a vegetarian hoping he could be just like Gandhi. Also they were both freedom fighters. Gandhi fought for independence while Cesar Chavez fought for migrant worker rights. This shows how freedom fighters can be the same but also different in many unique ways.
Both Cesar and Chavez did many great things. They did not do these things for self popularity, but instead the greater good of people he knew and people he never even met before in his life. They both sacrificed many things to get their goal, including people’s respect toward them. This shows how one person can change the entire world, but in doing so they have to sacrifice many things. Also it shows how two people can be alike but different in many
