The Battle with Grendel Grendel Vs. Beowulf is an epic battle between good and evil. Grendel is an evil monster, who is emotionally unstable due to God not accepting him because he is the descendant of Cain, who killed his brother Abel. Grendel hates light and noise, so he terrorizes the geats of Heorot who produce it. The beast feasts on the geats every night for twelve years, until one tragic night. Beowulf is a confident hero who proves his bravery in the most epic ways. Beowulf arrives from Sweden to Heorot to assist King Hrothgar in defeating the monster that has been terrorizing his kingdom.
