Confucius Essay
Confucius and Mulan can relate to each other in various ways. As the packet says, “Confucius was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher who lived from about 551-479 BC. His name was based on the honorific title “Kong Fuzi,” and was created by 16th century Jesuit missionaries in China.”` Mulan was a brave Chinese women who disguised herself as her father's son, so she can go to war and serve for her country because her father is too old to go to war. Confucius and Mulan relate in various ways because they both impacted their society, they both were successful, and they both show filial piety. Filial piety is when you have respect for one another or to be a good citizen.
Confucius impacted society by starting and teaching his religion, which then was called Confucianism. It’s an ethical system that provides direction for personal behavior and good government. With his philosophical ways Confucius persuaded millions of Chinese people and other people of the East to join his religion. Mulan impacted her society by going out of her element to save her father by going to war for him. Confucius taught others his religion which then led to over millions of chinese people and others praising his religion. His religion is an ethical system that acquires direction for personal behavior and a good government. That being said, a lot of people’s perspectives were changed due to this powerful man. With the heart of a lion, Mulan took on a challenge no ordinary girl would take. Mulan proves herself as a warrior and brings honor to her family. She took on challenges a man would take in war and she overcame that. They both prove who they are, leave their mark, and inspire many other
