I am comparing Panchito and the Lin Girl. They make friends in their new “worlds,” eventually, even though they have different lives and cultures. They both suffer losses from a big, recent move, though. They will eventually figure out that it will be okay, though. They both realize the move isn’t all bad and adjust to their new lives.
Panchito, a sharecropper who works in the vineyard, recently moved to America.
