When we are still in the womb our brains began to grow and within the brain we find millions and millions of our nerve cells (neurons). Once we are born we have all the nerves cells that we will need throughout our whole entire lifetime. When we are infants our motor and cognitive work together as we grow. Infant’s motor development is universal, meaning everyone in the whole world learns to Role over, crawl, and walk the same way not matter where in the world you like in. Cognitive development is the way we think, know, remember, and communicate. In one of Piaget’s theory of sensorimotor is a good example of how our cognitive development works when we are infants. Which is where we start to enable rational planning. Also at this point in time we start to remember a little bit better. For example when I was three years, I lived in Mexico and I remember having a bunny and how I used to play with him outside and tie a small rope around one of his legs so he wouldn’t run away. The only part I don’t remember is the important details like his/her name and how I got him. I just remember having him. Another good example would be Judy DeLoache where she showed children a model of a miniature room and the stuffed dog and how the 2 ½ years olds could remember the where the dog was in the miniature room but couldn’t think it would be in the real room as the 3 years olds
