He put all of his attention toward McClellan. He was that General A.P. Hill was committed to add to Jackson and his flank of 12,00 men. General in Chief Henry W. Halleck gave directions McClellan. Pope and McClellan were very far apart, when Lee noticed he took advantage to destroy Pope before he got back to McClellan. McClellan said that Major General A.P Hill to add on Jackson’s flank with 12,000 more men then there was originally. General Chief Henry W Halleck told McClellan to start the last elimination from the Peninsula and to go back the the Northern part of Virginia
