In the movie and the book there are a lot of comparisons like for one there are three ghost not counting marly. Charles Dickens said, “you will be haunted, resumed the ghost by three spirits”. I think the director of the movie kept this in the movie because it was telling Scrooge that he was going to be visited by three ghost. Charles Dickens said, “ Scrooge crept towards it, trembling as he went; and following the finger, read upon the stone of the neglected grave his own name, EBENEZER SCROOGE”. I think the director kept this part in the movie because it is a big part in him changing his ways to see that he will die in the future.it was a cold day with a grown over stone in the ground reading his name.

Charles Dickens said,”what place is this’ said Scrooge ‘a place where miners live, who labor in the bowels of the earth,’ returned the spirit” and “and every man on board, walking or sleeping, good or bad, had had a kinder word for one another on that day of year”. Instead the movie just took him to Bob cratchit and his nephews houses. I think the director did this because those were the two main ones that changed
