The Meiji Restoration was similar and different from the changes by Otto von Bismarck in
Germany were that he created the establishment of the first welfare state. The first Welfare state helped the Prussia to the point where they never had to worry about filing for bankruptcy or entering a major depression. It helped them keep them out of wars and battles because of what they had. The Meiji Restoration and the changes that Otto Von Bismarck are different for many different reason such as he did not have as much military or economic power as the Meiji Restoration so Von Bismarck could not get as much done as he may have wanted to, but he did have a lot of power even though it did not compare to Meiji it was still a historical ruling by Otto
