There is a tendency for me to make a contrast with Bauby and Lucy consistently when I read Lucy’s autobiography. They struggled with different illness. Bauby was suffered from paralysis, and Lucy was suffered from cancer. They both stayed at hospital for a long time, but they had diverse attitude and reactions when they got along with doctors, nurses, other patients, and was treated by a various of treatments. Because of Bauby’s paralysis, his attitude and reactions was silent, depended on his left eye blinking.
