Did you know that school education is not the only education in the world? In "Noah Count and the Arkansas Ark," Blackwood describes how much he values education by describing how the narrator was taught something by his poor educated family that he wouldn't learn in school. The narrator's point of view changes at the end of the text. Prior to the flood, the narrator felt like his family didn't know what they were talking about because of their lack of education. His granny said, Rain a-comin’, after the cat sneezed. His parents added on to his grandmother's statement that he questioned because he saw that there were no clouds in the sky. As the days went on, he and his father went on a walk along the levee, something his father felt would
