This meant that when Antony gave his speech it had to be extremely persuasive so that it made Brutus’s look bad. Antony had to be respectful and get everyone to question Caesar's death to win them over. Antony's speech was more convincing because of his use of repetition. He repeatedly says, “But Brutus says [Caesar] was ambitious; And Brutus is an honourable man .”(3.2.- 84) Antony is mocking Brutus’s speech and using a sarcastic tone to make it noticeable to the common people that Brutus is trying to make it seem like everything he is doing is “honorable”.
