The book Cinder is practically based off of the movie Cinderella. Although Cinder and Cinderella have many similarities like, they both fall for the prince in the story and they both have an evil stepmother, they still have many differences. First off, Cinder is different from Cinderella because she is not human, she is cyborg and lunar. She was brought to earth to a family and then her parents died so she was adopted by Garran. She has two stepsisters, Peony and Pearl, but unlike Cinderella’s step sisters, one of Cinder’s is actually very nice. She goes to a coronation instead of a ball and she gets caught when they had to scan her chip at the door. Cinder wears Peony’s silk dress and silk gloves to the coronation.
