Have you ever met siblings that act so much different than each other? Dan and Micky from the novel A Thousand Words exhibit both similarities and differences. In this character analysis, I will show how Micky and Dan are similar and different on the following topics. In addition they also have the same parents, and grew up together. Dan and Micky have a couple differences in terms of background. Dan is a student in high school, he is a year younger than Micky who is in college. Micky is worried because she does not know if Dan is involved with all the thefts. Dan acts very obnoxious and rude. Like the one time he told Micky “give me ten minutes to take a shower”, but ended up taking off on her. On the other hand, Micky is considerate for finally turning the notebook in. In similarity, Dan and Micky are both careful. Micky was careful when Duke got lost, she went looking everywhere for him. Dan is careful by calling the cops right away when his motorcycle got stolen.
