Most people believe our actions are based on what society considers morally right or wrong. Because of this, they follow along with everyone else whether it comes to the laws or different viewpoints. The scene from Star Wars could have gone different ways if they did not consider the other side, like the innocent lives helping the bad guys. They considered this along with questioning whether their lives were actually innocent or if they put themselves in this predicament to earn more money. They also considered whether the money was worth it for their families or if they just honestly did not care, the blue-collar tend to believe that we go based on our political views. They find out what behavior(s) that can give said happiness and to create rules for it. Their goal in life is to bring the maximum amount of happiness to people without causing any pain in the future, but in general, there are rules for some issues in the world that aren’t allowed to be broken even though they can cause happiness. This allows our human nature to come in and decide good and bad. I believe that Randal has this viewpoint. This suggests that you are in fact killing innocent people on the bad guy’s spaceship. Kant’s theory relies on the outlines of the natural law but goes through different aspects of other people’s viewpoints. His theory states that it is said that it is a person’s job to act as what you believe is morally right. Another way to view this theory is if you viewed the good guy’s reasons for blowing up the ships. The good guy’s only are believing what they are told, like them destroying the ship and not thinking there were innocent lives fixing the
