Darkness and the silence. No human left on Earth, streets empty, cities burning. Nothing but a bird, singing a tune. Oblivious to its surroundings, a snare. This is somewhat of what happened in the short story. The poem and short story have similar topics and the use of wording creates different points of view of the non-existence of humans. After analyzing both texts, it is shown how wording affects tone and overall meaning of the story and poem.
