When times get tough it’s the person’s decision to either give up or push on through and get tougher. “Kamau’s Finish” follows a young teenager as he strives to win his dad’s approval through showing he isn’t “just a dreamer”. “The Bunion Derby” illustrates a high schooler’s passion towards running and how he would do anything to win the great race across the U.S. Both “Kamau’s Finish” and “The Bunion Derby” show someone facing major obstacles towards their goal. Both stories truly show the importance of perseverance and how it’s never a good idea to give up.
