Othello, by William Shakespeare, and Oedipus King, by Sophocles, are both plays written over two thousand years apart that hold a few differences, and a great deal of similarities. Both of this plays holds true to the form of a tragedy in those stories.
The reality of situation in each play affects Oedipus and Othello and they never saw how the situation could turn on them into all of this obvious expectations that show both of these characters, such as jealously and power.
