A comparison between the written and movie versions of the Tall Tale “Pecos Bill and Slue-foot Sue.” Tall tales are fictional stories with adventure, exaggerations, and larger-than-life characters. Pecos Bill’s first wife, Sue-foot Sue, tried to ride Widow-maker. When the widow-maker bucked her off she flew so high she hit her head on the moon and was bouncing up and down for days. She was in so much pain, Bill realized that he had to shoot her and put her out of her misery. The written version is better because you get to know the details needed to understand the connection in the story.
