Discoveries can be confronting and provocative. This is best shown in Robert Frost’s poetry “Home Burial” and “Tuft of Flowers” as well as Aimee Mullins story. Home Burial is about the death of a child, a son who gets buried at home and with this his mother and father’s relationship is buried with him. Tuft of Flowers is about a tuft of flowers being spared from being cut and provoking lonely persona’s thoughts on whether he is truly alone. Aimee Mullin’s story is confronting because the fact that she is not ‘normal’ with her prosthetic legs, her story provokes the thoughts of being more even when being put down.
