There were significant morals and values that make each story individually unique, and the plots were unalike. In the story “Rip Van Winkle” the man goes off to venture in the woods and by the time he wakes up and comes back into reality it’s 20 years later. Goodman Brown goes into the past to see what humanity was like which makes him change his perspective on the world in a negative way. However, Rip begins to appreciate things more in life more after realizing that time flew by him because he never put effort into be productive and avoided hard work, which made him lost in society years later.
