The similar component about Crook and the other characters on the ranch is the fact that they have their own personal life. Even though they don’t get along, it doesn’t mean they don’t have a base of life. They all had a family at some point. Also, all the ranchers have to work in the ranch. They are all controlled under the bosses command. They all follow a set of rules, even though they don’t agree on it. Another similar factor is that they all have a place to sleep. Even though its public or not, they all have food, water, and a roof to sleep under.
