In the early 19 century mental illness were treated differently from how it's treated today.Scientist believed that the brain was the main reason why people had mental illness. Which lead to scientist doing many painful surgery’s on people that suffer from a mental illness. Comparing the 19 century to today’s social and medical treatment, modern times have created a safer environment for people that suffer from a mental illness.Despite the chronic and long-term nature of some mental disorders, with the proper treatment, people suffering from mental disorders can live productive lives and be a vital part of their communities.
The mental treatment
