Both television shows are great, but it depends on what the audience is up for. Both are family based shows, with slightly different types of comedy approach and in different scenarios and locations.
That 70’s Show is based on a guy named Eric Forman, leaving in the 70’s with his family and group of teenage friends in a fictional suburban town and struggling during recession. His family is composed by his dad, mom and sister. It emphasizes on social issues such as, sexism, drug use, underage drinking, and the economic problems of the 70’s. It has a fun and easy type of comedy for everybody to understand it. Issues such as sexism, drug abuse and underage drinking are managed with fun but serious messages at the end. However, The Ranch has a mature type of language and deals with many double sense jokes and sarcasm. The Ranch is not meant to be seen by immature audience, but it is also not so obscene, for it not be seen for fun and family entertainment. When it comes to have fun and laugh for a few thirty minutes, both shows are recommendable.
