In the legend The Carp by Marie Yuen and the play The Hermit Thrush by Dana Crum, they are different because one of them is written in the form of a script and the other is in the form of a narrative. Another difference is that one of them dreamed of doing it and another did not. In The Carp, it is written with paragraphs and dialogue, while The Hermit Thrush, was written with names and then their lines and a narrator. This shows that they are completely different text structures. In The Carp it states “Long ago in Japan, there lived a boy named Rosetu who dreamed of becoming a painter.” And, “I don’t feel like practicing this song anymore, anyway. What’s the point of this? I’ll never be any good.” This shows that it was one's dream, and the
