“The Southern Arapaho joined the Cheyenne, where they together became victims of the most egregious massacre in American History” (“Cheyenne”). The Cheyenne and Arapaho people formed their alliance in 1811. After the alliance was made, the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes met the Sioux. The tribes then joined together to fight in the Red Cloud’s war. They lived in teepees, and primarily relied on trading and hunting buffalo to make their living. The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes were originally located in far northeast U.S., then they were forcibly removed to Oklahoma soon after their formed alliance, and they are now thriving in athletics and culture.
