Comparing The Play Peter And The Starcatcher

You will never know, if you never try. That famous sentence in my home country was first thing I remembered when I attended the play “Peter and the Starcatcher “on Saturday, 10 October at Virginia Stage Company. The play was adapted by Rick Elice from a novel by Dave Barry (yes, that Dave Barry) and Ridley Pearson. It was really great experience for me to attend this great show. To be honest I didn’t attend any theater show before theater class in America for many reasons. One of them and the most important is that we don’t have high level theaters that could take your attention and make love to see the play. So, I didn’t plan before to see one of the plays before this class require me to do that. Personally, I love Peter story’s very much in my childhood. How the actors are doing on the stage is the main thing in any show. The success or failed of the play depends on their acting on the stage. In “peter and the starcatcher “show the actors were really good on the stage. The characters' clothes in the play were very distinctive and suitable for every role. In a famous story, such as "Peter Pan" they had to be careful in this part. Clothes in this show plays a major role. However, the main two characters in the play in my opinion were of course Peter Pan and Black Stache. Who play Peter Pan role has very powerful charismatic on the stage. He was really wonderful actor. He also speaks directly to and interacts with the audience in the show which mean for me that he has many experiences before on the stage and know what he’s doing. Black Stach wasn’t less than peter in acting. He act the devil character in very strong way that made the audiences hate him in the play. In my opinion, to be success in a devil role you have to make who watch hate you. In general, the crew of this show was great and did a great work that make us love the
