Much of the Anglo-Saxon work that was preserved after the final Anglo-Saxon walked the earth was preserved in the Exeter Book. Many of the magnificent pieces of literature that are still taught and read are from this time period. The novels or poems tell of lessons that still pertain to modern life. One such classic is “The Seafarer” which tells about a man sailing on the treacherous sea.
