I decided to do the topic on Don't determine your worth and don't let anyone make you feel like you don't deserve what you want. In the book The Uglies and the movie Gattaca they really made a point across about how people want to appear and be like everyone else.

The main character in the Uglies she always looked forward in turning 16 so she could become a pretty like her friends. As the book goes along Tally gets to grow and understand more about how the system works, also get to see that being a pretty isn't all that great. When you get the surgery basically everyone's the same and nobody is differed. Tally get the surgery, the doctors jobs are to made you pretty on the outside not the inside. In Gattaca the way your are made is either from naturally conceiving or being genetically mortified so there will never be anything wrong with you. The main character Vincent was conceived naturally but when he was born he has a heart defect. He was always going o be the second best because this brother was genetically mortified in the womb. Aston his brother grew faster, taller, smarter, and stronger than him. His parents never believed in him because of his heart defect so he left and took everything he had.
