Comparing Tilly And Roo's Story

This story touched my heart in many ways. Every time I would turn to a new page of the story it filled me with new emotions. When I read this book I thought deeply about the characters and their backgrounds. Tilly and Roo. I feel like I’m in their life fighting to find a way through tough decisions with them. After Roo’s crash and her being paralyzed and finding out she has locked-in syndrome will change her and the people she love lives forever.Sometimes I wish I could jump in the story and give Tilly a big hug and tell her everything is going to be fine.

I sometimes feel bad for Tilly. She shouldn't have to feel this way,wanting to take all of the blame on Roo’s crash, feeling like it's the end of the world and it not. I probably would've felt the same way, overflooding with emotions. To be quite honest I absolutely adore Tilly’s character and her personality. I would describe her as emotional and reactive because that’s how she is throughout the story. Tilly is so determined to overcome her guilt and make everything right somehow when she sent that text. Was it her fault?

Did they get hit? Lucan the dog did get hit by the crash but he was fine. I felt so bad for Roo and what her newly found life will lead her into. Hope, depression, neglect, and love. Overall, my thoughts on this book is well achieved. I think the author, Luanne Rice did a excellent job to latch the reader's emotions and feelings in this book about “texting and driving” and what could happen in a situation like that. I absolutely adored this story! Showing what it means about love, a true sister bond, and never giving up. I had hope the whole time reading it. No matter disability, condition, or pain you’re going through all you need is love, a family, like Tilly. Someone who cares about you so deeply, you’ll make it one step at a
