Although, these men are mentioned in ancient literature, their names are found only one time in the Bible. (II Timothy 3:8) Evidently they were the nameless magicians who tried to persuade the Pharaoh that Moses and Aaron were nothing more than common tricksters. (Exodus 7-9)
There is nothing significant in the absence of the magician’s names in the Old Testament. Such is commonly found in both the Bible and secular literature.
