Peary and Henson’s Expedition
For these two weeks we have been reading a story of two thoughtful men named Robert Peary and Matthew Henson. They had some hard, but really fun times in their lives. THey have gone through a lot of challenges, rough and smooth. And that is why I’m going to take my time and share about them. Robert Peary was born in Cresson, Pennsylvania , in 1856. But, his true home was in Maine. Peary’s tiring job was to study the feasibility of digging a canal in Nicaragua. On December 15, Peary was declared the first to reach the North Pole. Robert Peary was so quiet he didn’t even tell anyone anything. Matthew Henson was born in Charles County, Maryland on August 8,1866. Henson had so many jobs such as a parking
