How does this creation myth compare to the Ojibway myth? I think the Ojibwe creation story was fascinating by its similarities and contrasts to the Christian creation story. The Ojibwe story consists of a flood that destroys the land. There were fighting among the animals, along with a human as they are aware of the need for new land to survive. Various creatures tried and failed. The little Muskrat made a courageous challenge to go in the deep waters which later he raised unconsciously with the new land. Nanaboozhoo takes a piece of the earth from Muskrat paw. The turtle swanned forward and asked to use his back to bear the weight of the earth.
