I don't watch much television and I am not familiar with many video games but after reading the text on page 310 "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" were two shows that came to mind. In "The Simpsons" the father often chokes his son and there is a supposedly homicidal character named "Psycho Bob", and in "Family Guy" the youngest child of the family is often violent towards the family dog. I don't believe that either of these shows are appropriate for young viewers; I am aware that they are not aimed at young viewers, however being cartoons children assume that they are geared towards them. Parents can control their children's exposure to this kind of violent media by utilizing the parental controls on their televisions. More adult shows tend to
