Do you know the difference between a macaron and a macaroon? When you look at both names you probably think of the UK version or the French version. Well I’m here to explain that although the two different cookies might have really close names they are not even close to each other. The two different beginnings of the macaron and macaroon show how different they have become among the years. The history of the original macaron began back around the 1500 when Catherine di Medici brought the cookies from Italy, although that is not what made the cookies famous.
