My comfort level with the standard: This standard represents a personal area of strength. As an individual, I am constantly working on refining my abilities and continuously improving myself. As a professional, my goal is to use my life for the advancement of education with the intent of improving the lives of students. This involves a commitment to the entire child and a desire to help all students succeed. However, although I believe that I embody these standards as a teacher, the majority of my experiences have been self-focused. I have somewhat limited experiences leading change on a larger scope.

I also learned a lot of thought process involved with helping students learn how to successes through attending lectures on this topic as well as taking the Mental Health First Aid Training. While completing these standards, I was actively involved in fostering collaboration at the classroom and district level, however, often, it seemed that there was little buy-in or support. Talking with the special education teacher, she causally mentioned that she had difficulty getting the teachers to follow their IEP plans. In working collaboratively, initiating and implementing the character education program, I was impressed by the inefficiency that group work
