Comprehensive Health Assessment A comprehensive health assessment involves the collection of data that concerns the patient. Comprehensive patient assessment is vital because it plays a crucial role in coming up with data to develop the best care for the patient. Prioritizing comprehensive health evaluations is essential for health organizations. The evaluation results help nurses choose the best course of action. Steps in the nursing assessment process include taking a patient's history, making a diagnosis, developing a strategy, putting that plan into action, and finally, reviewing the results. Also, she explained that she has no food or medication allergies. However, she categorically explained that in her adulthood, about three years ago, she had been to the hospital a couple of times for symptoms like coughing, which were diagnosed and later treated. However, after the treatment and medication, the symptoms started to reoccur. Additionally, after cross-examining the patient about the various symptoms she is experiencing and whether she had gone to the hospital to seek help, Lauren explained that she had not been to the hospital for the past year. However, she frequently buys painkillers from the pharmacy for the severe headaches and dry cough she has been experiencing. The past exam date of the patient was January 12, 2023, and the medication she had been taking to relieve her pain was Tylenol.

Family History According to Lauren, there have not been significant illnesses in the family for the past thirty years. Lauren's parents are both alive and in good health. Lauren has two siblings, an older brother and a younger brother. The younger brother, James, who is twenty-five years old, has been on medication for the past six months.
