Though immigrants are promised the information provided for the DACA on their families and themselves will not be used for immigration enforcement purposes, there are a number of stipulations that must be met (Chishti & Hipsman, 2012). In the case of fraud, criminal offense or a threat to national security this information can be used for deportation (Chishti & Hipsman, 2012). If individuals are suspected to fit these criteria and removal proceedings are placed, eligible candidates will slowly lose confidence in the DACA and may even become frightened to apply.
